Shura Council: Constitution guaranteed education for all in Bahrain

Manama, Aug. 11 (BNA): The Shura Council has stressed that Bahrain’s Constitution and advanced national laws and legislation have, since the launch of the comprehensive development project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, ensured the right to education for all the citizens, which motivated youth to attain outstanding academic achievements, continue their higher education, join the labour market and contribute to the nation’s progress march. In a statement marking the International Youth Day 2019, themed "Transforming Education", clebrated all over the world on Monday, August 12, the Shura Council expressed deep pride in the support enjoyed by Bahraini youth in the field of eduction by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and backed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, through developing plans and strategies to enhance education and improve its output, and involving youth in their successful implementation. The Shura Council pointed out that this year’s International Youth Day theme was adopted at a time in which the kingdom is celebrating the centenary of official education, praising Bahraini youth’s landmark academic achievements over the past decades. The Shura Council expressed pride in Bahraini youth’s contributions to making useful recommendations on ways to enhance education in the kingdom during their participation in the workshops of the Shura Council’s ‘Together to Achieve Legislative Aspirations’ conference, held here on July 3-4. The Shura Council pledged to continue supporting the youth and education sectors to enhance Bahrain’s progress and prosperity, under HM the King’s leadership.
