Shura Council expresses support to Saudi Arabia

Manama, Feb.10 (BNA): The Shura Council’s Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee condemned the Houthi terrorist twin drone attacks which targeted Abha International Airport in the Southern region of Saudi Arabia, in flagrant violation of the international humanitarian law. Chaired by Shura Council member Youssef Ahmed Al Ghatam, the committee reiterated Bahrain’s solidarity and support to Saudi Arabia, backing all measures to protect its security and stability and confront terrorist acts targeting innocent civilians’ lives. The committee commended the vigilance of the coalition forces which intercepted the two drones, highlighting their efforts to protect regional security and stability. In a statement today, the committee said that the systematic terrorist attacks perpetrated by the Houthi militias represent a flagrant aggression that targets Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, stability and territorial integrity.
