Shura Council Partakes in Meeting of IPU Committee on Sustainable Development

Bali, March 23 (QNA) - The Shura Council participated Wednesday in the meeting of the Committee on Sustainable Development of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), as part of the work of the 144th IPU General Assembly which concludes Thursday in Bali, Indonesia. The Council was represented in the meeting by HE Abdullah bin Ali Al Sulaiti, a member of the Council. During the meeting, the committee adopted a draft resolution submitted by Finland and India on "Promoting information and communication technology as an aid to the education sector, including during times of the pandemic," which will be submitted to the General Assembly for adoption. The resolution is related to determining how to make optimal use of the available ICT capabilities in actual learning, improving the quality of teaching and learning processes, and eliminating digital divide by adopting the best ways to enhance ICT in the education sector.
