Shura Council pays homage to late Kuwaiti Emir

Manama, Sept. 30 (BNA): The Shura Council has mourned the death of the Emir of Kuwait late Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah who passed away on Tuesday after a life full of achievements in serving his country as well as the Arab and Islamic nations.
The council affirmed, in a statement, that with the death of the Emir of Kuwait, the Arab and Islamic nation has lost a dedicated man who gave a lot to his country and was able, with his wisdom, to place it among developed countries until it became, by virtue of its prestigious international status, the object of respect and appreciation by the entire international community.
The council stressed the pioneering accomplishments made by late Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah which positively reflected on the life of Kuwaiti citizens and their welfare. It also noted his remarkable contribution to backing the GCC march, fostering Arab unity and solidarity and serving just issues.
The council paid homage to the Emir of Kuwait for his support and keenness on promoting historical relations between Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain, thanks to the wisdom of both countries’ leaderships and unity of their peoples.
“We offer our condolences to our brothers and sisters in the sisterly State of Kuwait and the Arab and Islamic worlds for this painful affliction. Let us offer our deepest condolences and sympathy to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, as well as the brotherly Kuwaiti people and the Arab and Islamic nations over the death of late His Highness Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Emir of the sisterly State of Kuwait,” the council added, praying to Allah the Almighty to bless the deceased with mercy and all with patience and solace.
