Shura Council receives US Congress delegation

Manama, Nov.1 (BNA): The Shura Council Secretariat General received a delegation from the US Congress. The delegation was briefed about the legislative experience in Bahrain under the development and democratic progress led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The US delegation was also briefed about the kingdom’s keenness to promote the culture of dialogue, tolerance, religious coexistence and support of the rights of women and the youth. The US Congress delegation stressed the importance of exchanging visits to learn about the legislative process in Bahrain and the prerogatives of the two chambers of the parliament.
