Shura Council reiterates full solidarity with Saudi Arabia

Manama, Mar. 7 (BNA): The Shura Council has reiterated its utter rejection of any attempt to harm the reputation and status of Saudi Arabia. The Shura affirmed in a statement its full support to the statement of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the report referred to the US Congress on the murder of Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi. The Council stressed the prominent and pivotal role of the Saudi Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in boosting security and stability in the region and across the globe and spreading co-existence, peace and mutual respect among states. The Shura praised the Saudi diplomatic endeavors within a foreign policy based on moderation and mutual respect at the regional, Arab and international levels. The Council said that it fully endorsed Bahrain's supportive stance towards Saudi Arabia, particularly regarding the abuse and prejudice to its sovereignty and its prestigious position. Saudi Arabia's security is closely linked to that of Bahrain and the Saudi Kingdom represents Bahrain's strategic depth and the guarantee of the security and stability of the region, the Shura said.
