Shura Council stresses support to all measures to boost security

Manama, Feb. 10 (BNA): The Shura Council stressed in a statement support to all measures taken to boost security in Bahrain and confront terrorist acts, in line with the leadership's vision which strongly renounces all forms of terrorism and calls to root it out to protect the national interest and ensure people's safety. The council praised the quality operation carried out by a joint security team from the Interior Ministry and the National Security Agency which foiled an escape bid of fugitives who had escaped from the Reformation and Rehabilitation Centre in Jau and led to the arrest of many terror suspects. It also commended the leadership's constant directives and support to the security bodies which helped them reach such a high level of readiness to perform their duties with utmost responsibility. The Shura Council lauded the efforts of the Interior Ministry, spearheaded by Interior Minister Lt. General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, in maintaining security and order and fighting terrorism. It also praised vigilance of the Security bodies and their readiness to confront the terrorist groups which contributed to thwarting many terrorist plots and arresting the perpetrators. It pledged to work on passing more legislation to assist the security bodies in fighting terrorism and preserving hard-won national gains brought about in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
