Shymkent children painted on Children Protection Day
Shymkent, June 02, 2009 (Khabar) - Children’s pictures turned one of central streets of city into blooming meadow. The organizers of this campaign say this will be the largest picture in the country, thousands of pupils turned asphalt on Kunayev avenue into colorful canvas. The children painted on the area 7 000 square meters. The rain washed away some pictures but this didn’t spoil mood of children.
Diana Bayanova:
- We have to paint once more because of rain and we poured it with colors. We hope it will be very beautiful and this dull asphalt will turn into colorful meadow.
Nastya Ivashko:
- We paint yurts, butterflies and flowers here. I like to paint and use bright and rich colors.
Municipal administration and Kcell company suggested children to bring part of blooming spring steppe into the city and celebrate with this action International Children Protection Day.
Saken Baituganov, regional manager of Kcell company:
- Last year we held some campaigns in Kazakhstan and in our South Kazakhstani region, we helped orphanages, developed children’s sport and Paraolympic Games. I hope we will be able to participate in such programs in future.
