Shymkent: realization of “Road map”

Shymkent, July 30, 2009 (Khabar) - Pavements and bus stops are repaired and roads are constructed in Shymkent in framework of “Road map”. The city authorities allocated about 2,5 billion tenge to overhaul the city. Valeria Mironova has been living in this house for 25 years, since the moment of putting this house into exploitation and the yard wasn’t repaired during all these years. And now the house residents watch the builders and hope the yard will be cozy after repair. 300 million tenge was allocated for the repair of yards of many-storey houses and workers cover new asphalt, take away old borders and settle new branches. The pavements of Shymkent are also repaired for the first time and city residents are very glad with these positive changes. 400 new bus stops will be also settled in the city and four new roads are constructed. They will be ready by this November and new roads will connect the city center with newly constructed districts.

Zharkynbek Kurmanbek, deputy head of housing and communal service in Shymkent:
- If we construct new roads and put them into exploitation we will unload public and private transport. We wanted to do it long time ago and we applied the budget commission every year but didn’t achieve. And now this work was begun according to the “Road map”, policy of the President.

The volume of work is very large and over 3000 people were employed to carry out job according to “Road map”.

Tastan Meldeshev, worker:
- I was jobless but was employed due to “Road map” program and now I construct a new road. We make our native city more beautiful and comfortable.

The grounds for gathering of garbage are also overhauled in the city, roads are repaired and flat heating networks are renewed in the city. All this work must be ended before beginning of heating season.
