Social Affairs Minister meets UNDP Representative

Manama, June 29 (BNA): Social Affairs Minister Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor received the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Acting Resident Representative in Bahrain Firas Gharaibeh. The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the development and social fields. Gharaibeh congratulated Al Asfoor on obtaining the royal trust in appointing him as minister. He reviewed the ministry’s achievements and its national projects. Al Asfoor praised UNDP’s efforts at regional and international levels and its support for Bahrain’s sustainable development goals. Gharaibeh thanked the supportive role of the ministry for national efforts in attaining development and social programs.
