Soldier, defense volunteers injured in Pattani bomb

PATTANI, Jan 10 (TNA) – A bomb explosion injured one soldier and five defense volunteers in the violence-plagued province of Pattani on Wednesday. Six officials from a special army ranger unit were ambushed while they were patrolling a road in Nong Chik district. The patrol is to provide security before an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team and police officers from Nong Chik police station would pass the route to gather evidence at the site near Baan Sai-mor School, where two surveillance cameras has been torched. All of them were injured and sent to Nong Chik Hospital. (TNA)
