Southern Governor receives Philippine President’s envoy

Manama, June 11 (BNA): Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa received this evening Philippine President's Special Envoy to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries (GCC) Dr. Amabel Aguiluz, in the presence of Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) Chairman His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa. HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa welcomed the Filipino envoy and hailed the advanced level of bilateral relations, stressing the importance of enhancing joint ties and expanding cooperation. The Southern Governor welcomed the Dr. Aguiluz’s visit which, he said, represents an opportunity to bolster cooperation, particularly in the economic and educational sectors. Dr. Aguiluz expressed thanks to HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa and hailed his keenness on strengthening relations of friendship and expanding cooperation, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
