Southern Governor visits Japanese embassy

Manama, May 2 (BNA): Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa paid a visit to Japan's embassy in Bahrain where he presented a written message in Arabic and Japanese languages marking the coronation of Naruhito as Japan's emperor and his ascension of the Chrysanthemum Throne on May 1. Present were Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain Hideki Ito, the Deputy ambassador, Head of Bahrain-Japan Friendship Society Dr. Nasser Al Arayadh and officials. The Southern Governor discussed ways of boosting bilateral cooperation in the historical, cultural, social and economic fields, after success of his recent visit to the capital Tokyo. The Japanese ambassador hailed the efforts of the Southern Governor in cementing ties, stressing common keenness to serve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
