Southern Governorate to celebrate National Days

Manama, Oct.2 (BNA): The Southern Governorate will hold a string of events in December to celebrate the National Day and the anniversary of the Accession of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to the Throne. Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa announced the programme, stressing the importance of dedicated efforts and teamwork to celebrate the national days. He made the announcement as he chaired a coordination committee, in the presence of Southern police director-general Brigadier Hamad bin Ali Al-Merri, Southern Municipality director-general Asem bin Abdullatif Abdulla and other officials. He stressed the important role of the Southern Police Directorate and the Southern Municipality, underlining the importance of stepping up cooperation between all sides to ensure an outstanding organisation of the of the national days. The session focused on ongoing preparations to celebrate the National Day and the anniversary of the Accession of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to the Throne in December. The Southern Police Directorate and the Southern Municipality will take part in celebrating the national days, along with universities and schools in the governorate. HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa stressed the importance of marking the national days to celebrate Bahrain’s longstanding values and heritage and highlight landmark achievements in the prosperous era of His Majesty the King.
