Speaker affirms parliamentary support for enhancing relations with Kyrgyzstan

Manama, June 22 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has affirmed the legislative branch’s support for efforts to strengthen the distinguished friendly relations between Bahrain and Kyrgyzstan at all levels, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Kyrgyz President, Sadyr Japarov. Speaker Zainal made the statements while meeting here today the Foreign Affairs Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, who is currently on a visit to the kingdom. The two sides reviewed areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries, as well as ways to expand them to achieve common interests. They also discussed regional and global issues and developments of mutual concern. Speaker Fawzia Zainal stressed the importance of exchanged visits between the Council of Representatives in Bahrain and the Kyrgyz parliament (the Supreme Council) in strengthening bilateral relations at all levels. She gave details about the goals of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, and the roles played by the legislative and executive branches to achieve them. She also highlighted the programmes and initiatives adopted by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the positive opportunities they provide for the investment initiatives of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Kyrgyz Foreign Affairs Minister affirmed the depth of the relations between Kyrgyzstan and Bahrain, highlighting the great interest of his country's government in enhancing relations with the kingdom at all levels.
