Speaker: Bahrain's membership in UHC 2030 reflects global confidence in it

Manama, Oct. 28 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has asserted that her election uncontested as a member of the Political Advisory Panel of the Universal Health Coverage movement (UHC2030) reflects the size of the kingdom’s influence at the global level, as well as the international community’s confidence in it.
This is the outcome of Bahrain’s rich record and distinctive ongoing comprehensive development, in addition to its unique and pioneering experience in confronting the novel coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), thanks to the approach set forth by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the tremendous efforts exerted by Team Bahrain, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, she said.
Speaker Fawzia Zainal made the statements while participating in the virtual meeting of the Political Advisory Panel of the Universal Health Coverage movement, in which the advisors discussed the messages that the UHC2030 movement is going to adopt, and convey to political leaders and high-level officials to ensure the translation of commitments by governments and countries into practical procedures and policies in the field of health care.
The Speaker indicated that the meeting provided an opportunity to exchange expertise and experiences, noting that she highlighted Bahrain’s in developing the health system, and providing ways to achieve health stability for the community, based on the high human values adopted by the Kingdom.
