Speaker chairs parliamentary division coordination meeting

Manama, July 27 (BNA): Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal chaired coordination meeting of the Parliamentary Division delegation to discuss the participation in The 5th World Conference of Speakers of Parliaments and the 13th Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament, which will be held in Vienna on August. Zainal confirmed on the parliamentary diplomacy importance to highlight national efforts and achievements, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which will build and strengthen relations with the world parliaments, and open up opportunities to cooperate with regional and international countries in many fields, including economic and investment. She added that the conferences are of the most important parliamentary events which constitute an opportunity to exchange legislative experiences between countries, especially during the coronavirus pandemic. Speaker noted that the Representatives’ council is keen to participate in such international events in order to affirm Bahrain's position in supporting international efforts to achieve peace, development, prosperity and noble values for all humanity.
