Speaker congratulated Saudi Shura Council chairman

Manama, Dec. 15 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawziya bin Abdulla Zainal, has sent a cable of congratulations to the Chairman of the Saudi Shura Council, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Shaikh, on his being granted the “Parliamentary Excellence” Award (in the Presidents of Arab Parliaments category) by the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union during the award committee meeting in Cairo. The speaker asserted that the honouring of the Saudi Shura Council chairman is well-deserved thanks to his outstanding efforts to develop parliamentary work in Saudi Arabia, as well as his support for Arab parliamentary cooperation, and for Arab and Islamic causes, especially at international parliamentary gatherings. The award consolidates the leading role played by Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, she said. She also wished the Saudi Shura Council Chairman further success.
