Speaker congratulates AIPU's President

Manama, June 20 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal sent a cable of congratulations to President of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU), Atef Al-Tarawnah, marking AIPU’s 45th anniversary. The Representatives Council Speaker expressed heartfelt congratulations on the occasion, praising the efforts exerted by Al-Tarawnah to enhance cooperation among Arab legislative councils and parliamentarians, as well as to consolidate pan-Arab work. She also underlined the Representatives Council's support to boosting the role of the Arab parliamentary diplomacy to highlight achievements and consolidate cooperation with continental and international parliaments to achieve forecast goals.
