Speaker congratulates new EU Parliament President

Manama, Jan. 18 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal congratulated new European Parliament President Roberta Metsola on her election. The Speaker sent a cable of congratulations to the newly-elected EU Parliament president wishing her success in her new role. She stressed the keenness of the legislative branch of government , in general, and the Council of Representatives, in particular, to expand joint cooperation.
