Speaker hails gradual reopening of mosques

Manama, Aug.29 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal commended official efforts, which allowed the gradual reopening of mosques for collective prayers, based on the statement of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and the recommendations of the National Taskforce for Combating COVID-19. “The phased-out reopening of mosques, which brought joy to citizens and residents, reflects Bahrain’s successful efforts and viable precautionary measures to combat COVID-19”, she said. She praised the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, hailing the efforts of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. She stressed the necessity of complying fully with preventive health protocols and precautionary measures, urging support to the National Taskforce for Combating COVID-19. The Speaker commended the success of the Ashoora commemoration, hailing the efforts and follow up of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the Health Ministry and the National Task Force for Combating COVID-19. He praised citizens for their cooperation, commitment and awareness which, she said, reflects their keenness to comply with the mandatory precautionary measures. She lauded the culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence as well as support to religious liberties and compliance with the law, which turned the Kingdom of Bahrain into a civilized beacon, led by HM the King. The Speaker prayed to Allah the Almighty to bless the Kingdom of Bahrain with security, safety, stability, progress and prosperity, protect the Muslim countries and the whole word and lift off the pandemic very soon.
