Speaker: HM King's support enhanced economic progress

Manama, Mar. 29 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has stressed that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision has contributed significantly to the kingdom’s pioneering achievements and distinguished economic progress. The speaker also paid tribute to the government, the Legislative Branch and the Economic Development Board (EDB) for their unwavering interest in supporting the private sector, being an essential partner that plays a vital, effective and influential role in enhancing economic growth in the kingdom. Zainal affirmed that the activation of cooperation between the Council of Representatives and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), in particular, and the private sector and all professional and economic institutions and associations is among the priorities of parliamentary work in the current legislative term. This can be achieved through joint committees, developing laws, exchanging visions, supporting the economy and investments and creating job opportunities for Bahraini youth, she said, In a cable to BCCI Chairman, Sameer Abdulla Nass, marking BCCI’s establishment anniversary, the speaker also lauded BCCI’s landmark achievements throughout its long history, citing its support for the trade and industrial sectors, as well as its role in enhancing the kingdom’s economic standing at the regional and international levels. The speaker also expressed pride in the contributions of Bahraini businessmen and businesswomen, as well as the Bahraini youth, to the kingdom’s comprehensive progress march, under HM the King’s Reform Project and the Economic Vision for Bahrain, 2030.
