Speaker lauds female entrepreneurs

Manama, Mar. 21 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has lauded the Bahraini women’s progress, key role in the field of entrepreneurship, ability to provide the labour market with creative development projects, as well as fruitful contributions to the kingdom’s economic and social development, during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s prosperous era. The speaker pointed out that HM the King’s Reform Project has granted Bahraini women multiple opportunities to showcase their skills and capabilities through ensuring their equality with men in the political, social, cultural and economic fields, and implementing the equal opportunities principle, which, she said, has highlighted the Bahraini women’s landmark contributions, and shed light on their success stories and distinction across various sectors and fields. The speaker affirmed the prominent role played by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, in enhancing the Bahraini women’s advancement, citing her keenness to ensure their full participation in the kingdom’s comprehensive development march through various and diverse pioneering initiatives. Zainal made the statements as she received here today Founder and Managing Director of “Beyond Borders” Consultancy and Co-Founder and Managing Director of AlRawi Media, Hala Sulaiman. Sulaiman lauded the Legislative Branch’s support for Bahraini women and youth in the field entrepreneurship through passing laws that provide suitable and stimulating environment for small and medium-sized companies to enable them to grow and continue their operations.
