Speaker lauds youth's role in fostering tolerance

Manama, May 12 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal underlined the role of the youth in developing societies and promoting tolerance, peace and humanitarian values. She lauded keenness of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on launching civilisational and humanitarian initiatives to foster tolerance, peaceful coexistence and pluralism in the Bahraini community. The Representatives Council Speaker was speaking as she received in her office today “We Are Safe” drive team from Ahlia University. She was presented at the meeting with a copy of the Tolerance and Peace document. The students’ efforts in organising the campaign were also spotlighted. She stressed the council’s support to all national initiatives aimed at tapping on the youngsters’ potentials and boosting their role in development. The students affirmed that the initiative aims to confront all forms of extremism and fanaticism by calling for tolerance, love and unity among all components of the community.
