Speaker meets with Pakistan Army chief General

Islamabad, Nov. 20 (BNA): Speaker of the Representatives Council, Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, praised strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Pakistan and their steady development in various fields. She stressed the significance and strategic aspect of those relations and growing cooperation between both countries mainly in the economic, commercial and military fields. The Representatives Council Speaker was speaking during a meeting today with Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, as part of her visit, alongside a parliamentary delegation, to Pakistan. Both sides discussed bilateral cooperation and common keenness on joint solidarity at regional and international gatherings to safeguard security, stability and the interests of both countries. The meeting was attended by Bahraini Ambassador to Pakistan Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sisi Al Buainin and Chairman of the Permanent Specific Committee for Human Rights Ammar Ahmed Al Banney.
