Speaker raps attack on Bahrain’s embassy

Manama, June 28 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawziya bint Abdulla Zainal strongly condemned the storming of Bahrain’s Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, by a group of protesters, which left damages in the building of the embassy, in a flagrant violation of customary rules and diplomatic conventions as well as the Vienna 1961 Agreement on Diplomatic Relations. She stressed parliamentary support to all measures undertaken by the Kingdom of Bahrain, adding that the acts of sabotage and their instigators have to face legal action. She underlined zero tolerance with any act that threatens Bahrain’s sovereignty or compromises relations binding the two brotherly countries.
