Speaker receives Azerbaijani Ambassador to Bahrain

Manama, Dec. 20 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker, Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, has underlined the unwavering keenness of the Representatives Council to activate parliamentary diplomacy and boost cooperation with the parliaments of friendly countries to enhance national achievements and support the comprehensive development march, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The Representatives Council Speaker was speaking as she received today Azerbaijani Non-resident Ambassador to Bahrain, Shahin bin Shaker Abdullayev. She stressed keenness of the legislative branch in the Kingdom of Bahrain to promote parliamentary cooperation with Azerbaijan to serve common interests. For his part, the Azerbaijani ambassador praised development in the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing the kingdom’s role in promoting dialogue, peace, coexistence and tolerance in the region. He also lauded the kingdom’s distinguished experience in handling the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.
