Speaker receives Bahraini ambassador to Germany

Manama, Jan. 24 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal received today Bahraini Ambassador to Germany Abdullah Abdullatif and discussed with him boosting Bahraini-German parliamentary cooperation. She praised the efforts of the Foreign Ministry in promoting diplomatic relations according to the kingdom’s farsighted vision and pioneering foreign policy under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.   The Representatives Council Speaker lauded the efforts of senior officials at the Foreign Ministry, under the leadership of Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, congratulating all on the golden jubilee of Bahrain diplomacy. She underlined keenness of the Representatives Council to promote parliamentary diplomacy in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry so as to highlight to kingdom’s civilisational achievements under the reform project and the democratic march spearheaded by HM the King.   On his part, the Bahraini Ambassador to Germany extended heartfelt congratulations to the Representatives Council Speaker on taking up the presidency of the Representatives Council through free and direct elections. He described the achievement as a new civilisational accomplishment for Bahrain which underscores the positive advancement of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its reform project. He pointed out the Foreign Ministry’s keenness, under the directives of the Foreign Minister, to promote parliamentary work and diplomacy with brotherly and friendly countries and highlight the kingdom’s achievements.
