Speaker receives Bangladesh ambassador

Manama, Sept. 28 (BNA): Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal received Bangladesh Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam, who presented her an invitation to participate at World Peace Conference in Dhaka on December 4-6 under the title "Promoting Peace for Community Inclusion". She praised the distinguished relations between Bahrain and Bangladesh, thanks to the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Mohammad Abdul Hamid. The meeting discussed ways to support investment projects in the Kingdom and the growth of and trade exchange between the two countries. The speaker affirmed the parliament’s keenness to enhance bilateral relations and to support and cooperate with various Asian and Islamic parliaments. The ambassador praised the Kingdom’s role in spreading peace and coexistence values among all religions and sects, praising the initiatives launched by His Majesty the King to promote harmony and peace among countries, societies and peoples, to meet United Nations sustainable development goals. He thanked the speaker and members of the legislative branch for their role in consolidating diplomatic and parliamentary relations between the two countries, praising the Kingdom’s efforts in combating COVID-19, and the directives of Team Bahrain led by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
