Speaker receives her Jordanian counterpart

Manama, June 2 (BNA): Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal received Jordanian House of Representatives Speaker AbdelKarim Deghmi. The meeting discussed the development of parliamentary relations between Bahrain and Jordan and exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest. Zainal affirmed the deep historical Bahraini-Jordanian relations consolidated by the continuous support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein. She expressed her pride in the progress and achievements of the two kingdoms in all fields. Zainal stressed keenness to boost parliamentary cooperation and unify stances in regional and international forums. The Jordanian Speaker expressed his appreciation of Zainal's commitment of strengthening bilateral parliamentary ties. He affirmed that bilateral relations are at their highest levels and that Jordan is ready to boost them. He pointed out that the two countries are united by a common destiny, and that the security of Bahrain is an integral part of the security and stability of Jordan.
