Speaker receives Omani ambassador

Manama, (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawziya bint Abdulla Zainal received Omani Ambassador Abdulla bin Rashid Al-Mudailwi, hailing deep-rooted historic and fraternal relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman. She stressed shared keenness to develop cooperation in all fields between the two countries, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman. The Speaker commended the Omani stances in support of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in regional and international arenas, stressing keenness on bolstering bilateral legislative relations and activating the joint parliamentary friendship group. The Omani ambassador congratulated the Speaker on her election as the first woman to head the Council of Representatives in Bahrain, hailing the landmark reform initiatives led by HM the King.
