Speaker receives Parliament Affairs Minister

Manama, June 7 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal received today Parliament Affairs Minister Ghanim bin Fadhel Al Buainin. She stressed the importance of cooperation between the executive and legislative branches, pointing out keenness of the legislative branch on bolstering it and upgrading national work to achieve citizens’ aspirations, within the framework of the state of law and institutions and in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The Representatives Council Speaker lauded cooperation with the government, praising the directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to enhance cooperation between the two branches and promote joint work within “Bahrain Team” to serve the nation and citizens. She also commended the efforts of Bahrain Taskforce for Combating Croronavirus (COVID-19) spearheaded by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. For his part, the Parliament Affairs Minister praised the distinguished patriotic parliamentary role of the Representatives Council Speaker and ongoing cooperation between the executive and legislative branches, which is in tune with the constitutional principles.
