Speaker stresses parliamentary support for constantly strengthening Bahraini-UAE cooperation

Manama, Nov. 10 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has affirmed unwavering parliamentary support for continuously strengthening the distinguished Bahraini-Emirati relations, cooperation and coordination at all levels, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan of the UAE. The speaker lauded the fruitful outcomes of the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the United Arab Emirates, citing HRH’s meetings with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, and the numerous memoranda of understanding signed between the two brotherly countries on cooperation and investment in various economic fields. The Speaker made the statements while chairing here today the meeting of the Council of Representatives’ Bureau. The Bureau commended HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directives to expedite the reimbursement of the bonuses for frontline volunteers, requested by the Council during its weekly meeting, noting that the move reflects the keenness of the government to strengthen its cooperation and coordination with the Representatives Council to serve the nation and the citizens, as well as to recognise the efforts of volunteers.
