Strong Bahrain-Pakistan relations hailed

Manama, Nov. 9 (BNA): Minister of Interior, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, received here today, the Speaker of the Pakistani National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. During the meeting, attended by the Deputy Interior Minister, Public Security Chief and the Pakistani Ambassador to Bahrain, the Interior Minister lauded the depth of the brotherly Bahraini-Pakistani relations, highlighting the importance of such meetings in enhancing bilateral relations and broadening horizons of joint cooperation. The minister informed the Speaker of the Pakistani National Assembly about the efforts being exerted by the Interior Ministry to maintain security and public order and ensure the safety of all citizens and residents. He also valued highly the contributions of the Pakistani expatriate community in Bahrain in maintaining security and supporting the comprehensive development march, currently witnessed by the Kingdom. Pakistan's National Assembly Speaker expressed thanks and appreciation to the Interior Minister, and lauded the strong relations between the two countries. He underlined his country's support to Bahrain, in line with the solid relations between them. They discussed areas of cooperation and coordination between the two countries, as well as issues of mutual concern.
