Supreme Council for Women attends Arab meeting

Algiers, Mar.1 (BNA): A Supreme Council for Women (SCW) delegation attended the 38th meeting of the Arab Women Committee, which was held in Algiers, under the patronage of Algerian President Abdulaziz Bouteflika. The Arab League’s Directorate for Women, Family and Childhood organized the event in cooperation with the Ministry of Nationalk Solidarity, Family and Women in Algeria. SCW Public and International Relations acting director Shaika Abdulla attended the pan-Arab session which discussed preparations for the upcoming 63rd UN Women Committee regional meeting and other issues on the 2019-2020 agenda. The delegations discussed ways of empowering Arab women and enhancing their situation, focusing particularly on the 2030 Arab Women Sustainable Development 2030 Agenda.
