Supreme Leader visits Tehran Intl. Book Fair

TEHRAN,May 7(MNA) -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei paid a visit to the 25th Tehran International Book Fair on Sunday. Ayatollah Khamenei visited several pavilions and held talks with officials, publishers, and organizers of the fair. Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini and director of the fair Bahman Dorri were accompanying the Leader, Persian news agencies reported on Sunday. Over 2,400 Iranian publishers and 1600 publishers from 77 countries are offering their products at the fair this year. The fair will be running until May 12 at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla. Concurrent with the Leader’s visit to the fair, the bookpage at the website of the Institute for the Compilation and Publication of Ayatollah Khamenei’s Works was launched. The page contains three major sections of “Opinions and Notes”, “Library” and “Publications”. “Opinions and Notes” includes written and spoken opinions of the Leader about books, writers and publications; while the library section covers books related or approved by the Leader. The publications section offers books published about the Islamic Revolution.
