Taldykorgan: realization of “Road map”
Taldykorgan, July 31, 2009 (Khabar) - Repair works in framework of “Road map” became most large-scale restoration of Taldykorgan’s infrastructure during whole history of city. The city allocated about 3 billion tenge for housing and communal services and over 4,5 000 workplaces were opened. Water pipelines were settled 40 years ago in the city and now these worn-out and rusty pipelines are replaced by new ones according to “Road map” programme. And about 200 people were employed for repair of water pipelines.
Alexander Gorbachyov, chief engineer of “Zhetysu Vodokanal” enterprise:
- Such volume of reconstruction of water pipelines wasn’t earlier, even during the Soviet period money for repair of 3-5 kilometers was allocated. And we should spend 412 million tenge according to “Road map” programme. Common length of pipes is about 23 km. We replaced some pipes and they will function well for 40 years.
Heating pipelines are also reconstructed in Taldykorgan and most streets are closed. And boiler buildings are repaired as well together with electricity pipelines. According to “Road map” gas pipelines are repaired and gas holders are settled. Besides, 9 schools, 2 nursery schools, musical school and lyceum will be renewed, in general 28 projects are realized in the city. The republican and regional budgets allocated about 3 billion tenge for realization of “Road map” programme.

- It is very timely and most unsolved problems are being settled now. By today we already used over 50% of allocated funds. Social educational objects are to be ended before August 20 and heating and water pipelines will be ready for winter in time.
