Tatarstan President holds working meeting with SCIA president

Kazan, Apr. 26 (BNA): President of Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, held a working meeting with the President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, who is participating in the 11th International Economic Summit “Russia-Islamic World: Kazan Summit 2019”, held in Tatarstan on April 24-26. Shaikh Abdulrahman conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, to the Tatarstan President, and their wishes of further progress and prosperity to the friendly Tatarstan people. The SCIA expressed thanks and appreciation to President Minnikhanov for inviting the kingdom to participate in the Kazan Summit 2019, noting that such meetings contribute to consolidating the frameworks of joint cooperation, and lead to a constructive cooperation on issues of mutual interest. President Minnikhanov requested Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed to convey his greetings to HM the King, HRH Premier and HRH Crown Prince, expressing deep appreciation to them for the gracious welcome and hospitality accorded to him during his recent visit to the kingdom. The two sides discussed topics of common concern, related to ways to enhance Bahraini-Russian relations for the best interests of their friendly peoples. Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed presented the Tatarstan President with a book on Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), which is a five-volume book that was recently published by the SCIA. President Minnikhanov expressed heartfelt thanks to Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed for the valuable book about Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and his companions, praising the SCIA’s efforts in this regard. Bahrain’s Ambassador to Russia, Ahmed bin Abdulrahman Al-Saati, was present.
