Tehran Art Expo to open on Sunday

TEHRAN,June 16(MNA) – Tehran Art Expo, offering works by three different generations of Iranian artists for sale, is slated to open on June 17 in Vahdat Hall. About 570 works created by over 300 Iranian artists in different fields of visual arts will go on display at the two-week-long expo, the organizers reported on Friday. Several artists, gallery owners and cultural officials are expected to attend the opening ceremony. The exposition is organized by Rudaki Foundation to help promote art galleries and sales of artworks, and to create an international market for Iranian art. Sixty galleries from 10 different provinces are also collaborating with the organizer this year, the report added. Works by veterans including Mohammad Ehsaii, Faramarz Pilaram, Hannibal Alkhas, Nasrollah Afjeii, Mansureh Hosseini and Masud Arabshahi will go on show at the expo. Gizella Sinaii, Naser Palangi, Farah Osuli, Ahmad Vakili and Jamshid Moradian are also taking part in the expo with their artworks. Names of the younger generation including Sahar Moslemian, Sepideh Sahar, Shima Khashkhashi and Farzad Mahjubi are seen among the participating artists.
