Tehran to host Russian cultural festival early autumn

TEHRAN,April 7(MNA) -- A Russian cultural festival is scheduled to be held in Tehran early autumn, the Iranian cultural attaché’s office in Moscow announced on Saturday. The decision to hold the festival was made during a meeting of Russia’s Minster of Culture Vladimir Medinsky and Iranian Ambassador Seyyed Reza Sajjadi in Moscow last week. The festival will be held from August 20 to October 1. A memorandum of understanding signed between the Iran National Library and Archives and the Russian State Library was exchanged during the meeting. A Russian cultural delegation led by Medinsky visited Iran in December 2012. Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini visited Russia in October 2012 to attend an Iranian cultural week, which was held in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
