Tehran short filmfest announces foreign lineup for doc section

TEHRAN,Sept.2(MNA) – Thirty-four foreign films will be competing in the documentary section of the 29th Tehran International Short Film Festival, organizers announced in a press release on Saturday. The documentaries were selected from 3169 submissions by filmmakers from 107 countries. The lineup includes “Speak your Mind” directed by Imad Ali Abbas from Iraq, “Poetry of Chance” by Daniel Lang from Germany, “101” by Luis Minarro from Spain and “One Way, a Tuareg Journey” by Fabio Caramaschi from Italy. In addition, “Odysseus’ Gambit” by Alex Lora from the U.S., “Notes from The Underground” by Lukas Demgenski from UK and several other films will be screened in this category. Iranian films for this section will be announced in the near future. The 29th edition of the Tehran International Short Film Festival will be held from October 1 to 7.
