Tehran theaters ready to screen Euro 2012 games

TEHRAN – Tehran theaters and cinema complexes are ready to screen the Euro 2012 football games live on the silver screen, deputy director of the Society of Iranian Theater Owners Gholamreza Faraji told on Friday. Culture Ministry Supervision and Evaluation Office had made the decision to grant the permit, however the theater owners must also get permission from the police, he added. If the permission is granted, Tehrani citizens will enjoy watching football games in fourteen theaters and cinema complexes across the capital. Azadi, Mellat, Esteqlal and Afriqa are among the halls ready to screen the football games live at 20:30 and 23:15 pm local time. Euro 2012 kicked off Friday with 16 teams battling it out to be crowned in the two host countries of Poland and Ukraine.
