Texas A&M University in Qatar Celebrates Graduation of Class of 2021

Doha, May 19 (QNA) - Texas A&M University in Qatar (TAMUQ), one of the partner universities of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, celebrated the graduation of 107 of its students remotely via a digital platform. The batch consisted of 89 students who obtained a bachelors degree in chemical, electrical, mechanical and petroleum engineering, and 18 masters degrees in chemical engineering, including 35 students graduated with Latin honors. After the graduation ceremony, the 2021 graduates received their graduation certificates at their homes, as the TAMUQ Dean Dr. Cesar Octavio Malave visited the graduates in their homes to congratulate them on this achievement, celebrate this occasion and take memorial photos with them, in a journey that lasted five consecutive days. The 2021 graduates included students from 19 different nationalities, and 57 percent were female and 51 percent were Qatari. To date, TAMUQ has granted a total of 1,268 degrees. (QNA)
