Thai Cabinet to hold mobile meeting in Lower Thai North

BANGKOK, January 15 (TNA) - The Thai Cabinet will hold its next mobile meeting in Uttaradit province in the Lower Thai North from January 20-21 to follow up the government's policies and operations in the region. The atmosphere in Uttaradit is, thus, lively, as all parties concerned in the province are preparing to welcome the upcoming mobile Cabinet meeting, including big clean-ups and renovations by local hotels and other buildings. Uttaradit Governor Chalermchai Fuangkon told journalists on Tuesday that overall preparations in his province for welcoming Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and her Cabinet members, particularly those at the venue of next week's mobile Cabinet meeting, have now been 80 per cent complete, with most lodgings having been fully booked. Top agenda of the upcoming mobile Cabinet meeting include a review of progress of the government's policies and operational plans in a cluster of provinces in the Lower Thai North, namely Pitsanulok, Tak, Phetchabun, Sukhothai and Uttaradit. Next week's mobile Cabinet meeting will also serve as a platform for the Joint Public-Private Sectors Committee to make recommendations, while the chambers of commerce in the Lower Thai North will present three new trade and investment projects, one on transport networking development and two others on water management in the region.
