Thai-Cambodian border points open extra hours

BANGKOK, January 12 (TNA) - From Monday January 13, the operating time of all five Thai-Cambodian permanent border crossings will be extended by three hours. In October last year, the Thai Cabinet gave the green light to the extended opening time of the five border crossings, including Ban Klong Luek border crossing in Sa Kaeo Province, Ban Pak Kard border crossing and Ban Laem border crossing in Chantaburi Province, Ban Had Lek border crossing in Trat Province and Chong Jom border crossing in Surin Province. These crossings are known trade posts that see thousands of traders of both countries as well as local and foreign tourists travel through each day. All security, customs and immigration services would be on hands to accommodate border trade and tourism in the extended hours. Customs Office, Immigration Police and Army unit have been assigned by the order of the Ministry of Interior. (TNA)
