Thai doctors' lives depicted in cartoon series
BANGKOK, August 2 (TNA) - The Medical Council of Thailand has produced a set of cartoon series depicting the lives of doctors who work hard and devote themselves to best treat and save their patients' lives.
The council's President, Dr. Prasit Watanapa, publicly introduced the cartoon series at a press conference held in Bangkok on August 1, marking the 50th anniversary of the
establishment of the Medical Council of Thailand.
Dr. Prasit stated that the 12-chapter cartoon series is aimed to disseminate the truth, through the council's official Facebook account and the Drama-addict webpage, about the lives of doctors who are mostly determined to take best care of their patients.
Dr. Prasit said each chapter of the cartoon series has been set to be publicly disseminated every Wednesday and Thursday, with its first chapter launched on August 1.
According to the council's president, the content of the cartoon series demonstrates the life of at least a surgical physician who works hard to best treat a patient facing a road accident from a drunk driving and he later dies from a road accident due to his fatigue and insufficient rest.
"The content of the cartoon series shows the truth about the lives of most surgeons, aged 25-56 years old, 90 per cent of whom in Thailand have died from road accidents due to their fatigue", the council's president noted.
"The 12-chapter cartoon series is expected to also ease the pressure on doctors from people's high expectations on them amid limited resources, along with providing the public with interesting stories and information", added the council's president. (TNA)
