Thai International Travel Fair 2018 to be held this week

BANGKOK, Feb 5 (TNA) -- The tourism sector is planning to organise the 2018 Thai International Travel Fair from February 7-11 with expectations of more than 400,000 attendees and revenues in excess of 500 million baht. Suparerk Soorangura, president of Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA) announced that they were finalising preparations to launch the 22nd Thai International Travel Fair at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre between February 7-11. This year's theme is 'Happy Vacation Trip' which is aimed at rejuvenating the tourist sector. Hotel chains, resorts, airlines, vehicle rentals, pleasure crafts and tour operators, travel insurance and telecommunication providers, international photographers and travel magazines, local and international tourism promotion departments from 15-20 European and Asian countries will be attending the event. More than 1,200 booths has been prepared and organisers have also prepared a lucky draw for the chance to win an automobile, cash coupons worth 1 million baht and other assorted prizes. The TTAA has set a target of attracting more than 400,000 people to the event and generating cashflows in excess of 500 million baht. Permanent-Secretary for the Ministry of Tourism and Sports Pongpanu Svetarundra will preside over the official opening ceremony at 2.00 pm on Wednesday February 7. (TNA)
