Thai King advises more rainmaking to resolve haze

BANGKOK, March 15 (TNA) - His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej has expressed his concerns over people in the Thai North who are suffering from haze and has asked the Bureau of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation to quickly solve the problem. Bureau of the Royal Household Deputy Secretary-General Disathorn Watcharothai said today that His Majesty the King has assigned him to follow up the operations of the the Bureau of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation to relieve the problem. Disathorn reported that the operations were successful last week, as they could relieve haze in many northern Thai provinces, except Mae Hong Son, where the situation has remained critical. According to the Bureau of the Royal Household deputy chief, rainmaking officials are applying a technique called “Black Hole” recommended by His Majesty the King and expect it will effectively relieve the haze problem in the Thai North soon.
