Thai PM dismisses speculation on House dissolution
BANKGOK, July 3 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, who is now Defence Minister concurrently, has denied speculative reports that she is preparing for a House dissolution.
Yingluck dismissed the speculation in Bangkok on Wednesday, before her departure for Poland and Turkey for four-day visits from July 3-6.
Earlier, the main opposition Democrat Party said the Thai Cabinet's decision on July 2 to restore the government's rice pledge price at 15,000 baht per tonne was part of its preparation for the dissolution of the House of Representatives shortly.
In response to the Democrat Party's move to impeach the prime minister and all her Cabinet members concerning an executive decree allowing the government to borrow about 350 billion baht to fund its new mega-water management plans, the prime minister insisted that her government is ready to explain and to provide detailed information on all relevant issues.
