Thai PM: There is no plan for Cabinet reshuffle yet
BANGKOK, August 29 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra says she has not yet considered a new Cabinet reshuffle and has not been aware that her coalition parties want a change in the Cabinet line-up by next month.
Yingluck insisted on Wednesday that any Cabinet reshuffle is to be based on a change for what is considered more appropriate for national administration by her coalition government and it is considered not the time yet, as all ministries are preparing for presenting reports on their performances over the past year, as part of her government's one-year performance report to be soon presented to the Parliament.
The Pheu Thai prime minister acknowledged, however, that she has closely monitored and evaluated each ministry's performance so far and has found that, in an overall picture, all ministries have fulfilled their duties well with accountability as she has expected.
The prime minister maintained whether or not her Cabinet has done a good job is up to the public to decide, calling, however, for her government a continued opportunity to fully work for the public and the nation, as several tasks need relevant mechanisms and time-consuming. (TNA)
